Where is Serenity Ridge Cabin in Gatlinburg TN located?
Serenity Ridge is located in Gatlinburg’s historic Arts & Crafts district. The cabin is almost equidistant from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg (5 miles) and the attractions of Pigeon Forge (7 miles). You can travel to both places without having to get on the Parkway, which will keep you from getting stuck in traffic! We are also only 10 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park.
How many people will Serenity Ridge Cabin in Gatlinburg TN accommodate?
Serenity Ridge can comfortably accommodate 8 people. There are 2 king sized log beds, a queen log bed, and a queen sized air mattress for added sleeping flexibility.
What do we need to bring on our Gatlinburg TN vacation?
Very little, as Serenity Ridge is well stocked with all the cooking appliances, linens, utensils, games and videos, books, and laundry facilities you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Serenity Ridge also provides starter supplies of fireplace logs (during approved seasons), toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent and dish soap.
You might want to bring additional firewood if you plan on utilizing the fireplaces frequently, beach towels for the hot tub, and charcoal for the grill. We can provide firewood for a fee - please contact us for further information.
Can we do laundry at Serenity Ridge Cabin?
You bet! There is a full sized washer and dryer available for use at Serenity Ridge. No stacked mini units here!
May we bring our pet to your Gatlinburg TN Cabin?
No. Serenity Ridge does not allow pets of any kind. This restriction is strictly enforced. See the rental agreement for more details.
May we smoke inside Serenity Ridge Cabin?
Sorry, No. Serenity Ridge is a smoke-free cabin. This restriction is strictly enforced. You may, however, smoke outside of Serenity Ridge on one of the 2 covered full length porches, or the large outdoor patio. See the rental agreement for more details.
What are the check-in/check-out times for your Gatlinburg TN cabin?
The check-in time for Serenity Ridge is 3:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) and the check-out time is 10:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time). We do offer early check-in or late check-out when possible, but you must get our prior authorization.
What are the wood burning fireplace policies and do we need to provide our own wood?
A starter supply of 2 extra large Duraflame logs (1 log per fireplace) is provided from October 1 to April 1. Should you wish to utilize the fireplaces during a different season, you may, but will be responsible for providing your own firewood. We can provide firewood for a fee - please contact us for further information. You can also bring your own wood or purchase wood at the grocery store.
What if something needs emergency maintenance while we are on vacation at your Gatlinburg TN cabin?

What if we find a problem at Serenity Ridge Cabin upon check-in?
Please walk through the cabin upon check-in. Should you notice any problem with the cabin just call us. At Serenity Ridge, we want to ensure that your vacation is to your liking – from beginning to end.
Does Serenity Ridge Cabin in Gatlinburg TN have a view? Is it private?
Serenity Ridge possesses a very unique topography. Located on approximately 2 acres atop a mountain ridge, it possesses an expansive seasonal view of the Smoky Mountains, yet it is also nestled in the heart of some pristine Tennessee mountain woodlands, offering unsurpassed privacy. You will get a great mountain view during the winter, fall and early spring months when the trees are not in full bloom. And in those months where the view is mostly obscured, you will be surrounded by breathtaking foliage. Both ways, the view is sublime, and because of the size and nature of the property your privacy is ensured.
Are the pictures of Serenity Ridge Cabin of Gatlinburg TN accurate?
What you see is what you get. Yes, Serenity Ridge is just as beautiful (inside and out) as the photos depict.
What is the security deposit used for and is it refundable?
Renters are required to provide a $200 security deposit which guarantees their reserved dates at Serenity Ridge. This security deposit serves as an assurance to us that you will follow-through on payment and your reservation dates. Once you arrive at Serenity Ridge, this same $200 converts to a damage deposit for any incurred costs associated with intentional, malicious or significant damages. Shortly after check-out, your security/damage deposit is refunded provided no damages are incurred. We understand that things happen – a broken dish, a scuffed wall, or a damaged or lost board game piece – that’s just life. These types of issues would not impact your damage deposit.
Do we need to clean the Gatlinburg cabin before we leave?
Not at all, though our professional house cleaning staff do appreciate it if you leave the cabin in good shape! A simply check-out punch list is provided to you as part of your rental information packet. This list identifies just a few things that we ask that you do prior to your departure to expedite the cleaning of the cabin in preparation for our next guests. Other than that, no housekeeping is needed.
What if we leave something behind at the Gatlinburg TN cabin?
Contact our maintenance staff immediately. The phone number will be provided as part of the rental information packet. The maintenance staff will work with the cleaning staff to see if they can locate the item. If found, our staff will be happy to mail the item back to you provided you cover the postage fees.

You betcha! The Serenity Ridge kitchen possesses everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal. From brand new appliances, to dishware, glassware, bakeware, utensils, pots/pans, a crock pot, waffle maker, blender, mixer, toaster and coffee maker – Serenity Ridge has it all.
What type of TV, phone and internet service is provided at Serenity Ridge Cabin?
Serenity Ridge Cabin possesses satellite TV service on the color TVs located in each of the bedrooms. Additionally, 105+ channel satellite TV can be viewed from the 42” flat panel, HDTV, plasma TV in the living room. For our guests that must remain “connected” during their stay with us at Serenity Ridge, 3 hours of free long distance phone service (via provided calling cards) and 512 Kbps download speed WiFi is also included. Most cell phone providers do get reception at our cabin.
If we have to leave early, can we get a refund for the unused dates?
Unfortunately, refunds are not possible as of your arrival date, as your reservation will have essentially taken this period of time “off the market”. Therefore, we strongly recommend you purchase trip insurance to financially protect you from unexpected interruptions to your vacation with us.
How big is the selection of movies, books and board games in the Serenity Ridge Cabin libraries?
We pride ourselves in having one of the most expansive DVD/VHS collections around. Choose from a host of classic videos of yesterday, as well as some of today’s hottest new releases. In all, you have approximately 60 movies to choose from! Are you a music lover? Bring you Ipod to dock in the Serenity Ridge sound system or choose from the cross-genre CDs available within the Serenity Ridge music library. Speaking of libraries, Serenity Ridge offers a huge assortment of books to choose from. From science fiction, to murder mystery to military suspense – you will find a book to please everyone’s literary palate. If that is not enough, our game cabinet is exploding with fun board games as well! Choose from a huge variety of card games, jig saw puzzles, trivia games, children’s games and board game classics. Please note that some games have small pieces or parts that are not suitable for small children. Because of this, small children should not play with games without supervision. Also, we strive to have a selection of books and movies that will appeal to guests of varying ages, so you may find some books or movies you feel would not be appropriate for your children to view. Please use your parental discretion.
Where can we go swimming?
Since Serenity Ridge is located in an estate neighborhood with very few homes, there is no community pool. However, there are many indoor and outdoor water parks located in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There is also the Gatlinburg Community Center located just down the road which offers a very reasonably priced year-round indoor pool as well as other recreation options. If you dare, you can also go swimming in the cool streams of the national park, which are just right down the road.
